JAPANESE ICONIC ROCK BAND, L'ARC~EN~CIEL, TO RELEASE TWELFTH STUDIO ALBUM, "BUTTERFLY" IN THE U.S. ON FEBRUARY 8, 2012 VIA ITUNES

(February 7, 2012) -- "BUTTERFLY," the long-awaited new album from one of the most celebrated Japanese rock bands, L'Arc~en~Ciel, will be released in North America (U.S.), Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico on Wednesday; February 8, 2012 via iTunes.  Described by Kerrang! as "The biggest band you've never heard of", L'Arc~en~Ciel has sold over 40 million records and will also return to the U.S. in 2012, for the 2nd time in 20 years, on March 25th with a historic performance at New York's legendary Madison Square Garden.  More information can be found at www.LArc-en-Ciel.com

"BUTTERFLY" will include the band's 20th L'Anniversary single "X X X" ("Kiss, Kiss, Kiss") and "CHASE", all six singles since 2008's including "DRINK IT DOWN" as well as three new songs.

The album also includes hit song "GOOD LUCK MY WAY" as featured in the movie version of the iconic and highly popular anime full-length feature film,
FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: THE STAR OF MILOS. This band's hit single "READY STEADY GO" was utilized in the soundtrack of original hit FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST television series featured on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

L'Arc-en-Ciel's lead singer, and occasional guitarist, hyde, has called this "a monumental album, it's great that we can release the album just at the right time."
