20 Questions with ZUCK!

(1)「First of all, will you introduce yourselves with your musical instruments?」

YU：I am the Vocalist, YU.

Tsukasa：I am Tsukasa the Guitarist！
My guitar is named Black Jack and the maker is Schecter, but I changed my rear pick up from the original to D-SONIC. My amplifiers are JCM2000 and TSL100 from Marshall.

Hayato: I am the serrated Bassist, Hayato. *He is called that because of his hairstyle*
My instruments set up like this: Bass is an ESP FOREST STANDARD Ruck, a REXER wireless system, BOSS GE-50, BOSS CL-50, KORG DTR, and SANS AMP BASS DRIVER D.I.

Taiga: I am Taiga, the drummer of ZUCK.
I don't want to use so jumble set up. So basically I only use one tum drum, one floor drum, and I don't use twin pedals so much. I'd like to stick to using a single pedal.

YU: First of all, I started looking for members and focused on not only our music style, but also the style and concept of the band. Tsukasa was the first to join ZUCK, and then Taiga came along.Lastly, Hayato joined and completed the unit. We played together and checked our sound many times, of course, and we had many discussions together, in the end we decided to start this style. I believe we can grow together as a band.

(3)「How did you decide the name of your band?」

YU: There is no meaning of this word. Just that I liked this word for a long time. (smiles) But I believe there will be a deep meaning once we play more together as ZUCK.

(4)「How did you decide upon your music instruments and how long have you been playing them？」

YU：I started out playing in bands as a bassist, but it didn't last long (Laughs) I think playing bass was just one of the tools for me to stand out in the scene at the time, so I just gave it up. Sometime went by, and then I was invited as a vocalist to my friends' band. I started singing without any constraint. It was the starting line for me to perform as a vocalist.

Tsukasa: I also started playing music as a bassist. But when I decided to make a band with my friends, there was no guitarist. So it was a trigger for me to be a guitarist☆(smile)

Hayato: I was given a bass from my sempai. It was my first time playing a bass. It has been for about 6 or 7 years since then.

Taiga：I first met the drums when I was in Jr. high school or so, but I started to play it for seriously was maybe one or two years later from that time. I was a first or second year of high school, I think.

(5)「Do you have any experience playing other music instruments?」

YU：I need to play the guitar when I create our music. So I usually play it. I have tried to play several music instruments, but now I'd like to focus and to turn my efforts to singing.

Tsukasa: I tried to sing once, but it is impossible for me. (laugh)

Hayato：After playing bass, I tried to play keyboard. Alas, my life as a keyboard player was only few days. I played violoncello a little when I was a pupil. Maybe I and 4 strings instruments are united by some tie.(laugh) I'd like to change to play wood bass from my experiences of playing this bass and a violoncello someday.

Taiga：I play the guitar a little, but I can only play like a beginner..

(6)「Who is the composer in ZUCK?」

YU：I compose the words. I, Tsukasa and Taiga create the melodies together.

Tsukasa: Mainly, YU does it! He has an amazing sense for it.☆

 (7)「Who is your favorite musician or who was your inspiration to starting playing music？」

YU：I have no artists who was my inspiration to starting playing music.

Tsukasa：My inspiration to starting playing music was GLAY！
I like so may musicians and I don't know which musicians I should pick. I usually listen to KOBUKURO and Hironori Okano ☆

Hayato: I was influenced by my sempai's live performance. Then my desire to be distinguished as a musician was growing day by day. Now I realized I am standing in the field of Visual kei music scene.

Taiga：I have been in love with Western music and I've been listening to many bands a lot for a long time; For example, Nickelback, MEST, and SYSTEM OF A DOWN. I started to practice musical instruments when I saw a live video of LUNA SEA. It was very inspirational.

(8)「It is difficult to decide, I think. I would like to ask you which song is your personal favorate number of ZUCK? 」

YU: Mine is "MIKAZUKI". I'd like to sing it forever.

Tsukasa: I love all of them, but if you insist, I chose "MIKAZUKI☆Elegy☆

Hayato: Well, 『Aoki Gunjyou-Deep blue Cluster』is unforgettable song for me. I have a lot of strong emotion for it, because this is the first song our band had created. We succeed after several attempts about it. Also, the CD of this song cannot be bought anywhere except our live performances.

Taiga：『Aoki Gunjyou-Deep blue Cluster』is it for me, but I love all of our songs so much.

(9)「Do you have any interesting episodes when you are on stage?」

YU：I think a lot of interesting episodes will be born from now on. Chip those moments into your eyes.

Tsukasa: We have just started it. I hope to have many live stages and would like to see the interesting scenes!

Hayato：I showed people that I must not show them. It does not mean about dirty.

Taiga：I got my jaw dislocated during when I was shouting. I was shocked a lot.(laugh) I remember it was too hurt to continue to play.

(10)「Please tell us what you would like to achieve this year.」

YU: We will come aggressively in 2010.

Tsukasa：I will do my best for ZUCK to be known by a lot of people!

Hayato: I'll create a Hayato sensation!

Taiga：I'll try to do everything, then ZUCK and I will surely grow in this year.

(11)「What is your favorite food and are there any foods that are impossible for you to eat? 」

YU：I like a dumpling that's called Gyoza in Japanese. I don't really have any foods I don't like.

Tsukasa：I like milk chocolates!☆ I'll die if I can't eat it everyday.(laugh) I don't like eggplants and every kind of beans！

Hayato:I like sea urchin, because it is serrated. I have no food that I dislike. I'm an omnivorous kind of guy.

Taiga：I like sushi very much. But I cannot eat liver, internal organs, and a vegetable that's called Komatsuna in Japanese.

(12)「How do you spend your free time?」

YU：I indulge in flights of fancy or go shopping, play with my hamster and so on.

Tsukasa：I play the guitar！

Hayato：I play in a Dream Land.

Taiga：I usually use my PC, go out to some clothes shops, and watch animations or movies.

(13)「 What kind of presents make you happy? Have you had any experiences to get strange or surprising presents? 」

YU: Love letters. The most surprising present was ......se．cre．t（expressive smile）[Read as "Hi.Mi.Tsu" A cute way Japanese say the word "secret"]

Tsukasa: What kind of presents make me happy...household goods! And chocolate.(laugh)

Hayato: The letters have a lot of love. I like tobacco, too. The strange or surprising presents...a map to go to a fan's house with a spare key of the house.

Taigo: Letters, paintings, and drawings of my portrait. And thank you so much to present me with so many piercings. They were nice for me because I have a lot of piercings.

 (14)「If you chose the job other than being a musician, what job would you choose? 」

YU: Some creative works.

Tsukasa: NBA player☆ I have never been a member of any basketball clubs, but I like basketball.☆

Hayato: Kamen Rider (Masked Rider) HENSHIN (Transformation)！！

Taiga: Some job to work for music.

(15)「Can you see your fans while you're on the stage?」

YU：I cuddle them with my eyes!

Tsukasa: I can see them clearly☆

Hayato: Of course I'm gazing at mydarlings. If you can't keep pace with me, I will punish you.

Taiga: When the light turns on, I can see them. But if the light is off I cannot even see even my drum set.

 (16)「What types of girls do you like?」

YU: The girl or the woman who administers to me. She has something unaffected, unsophisticated. She has very close feeling about happiness to me.

Tsukasa: She is a close friend is the beginning.☆

Hayato: The girl who can keep pace with me.

Taiga: Bianco from Dragon Quest five.

(17)「Are there any persons whom you respect or admire particularly, excluding musicians? 」

YU: My parents.

Tsukasa: I respect the members of ZUCK.☆

Hayato: I have no idea.

Taiga: Tunnels, a Japanese comedian group.

(18)「Do you have any musician friends aside from the members of ZUCK?」

YU: Secret. Guess who are they? I'd like to ask you.

Tsukasa: Secret.(smile)

Hayato: Who are they？

Taiga: I'd like to pass this question.

 (19)「Do you believe fortune tellers? Do you believe in destined meetings? 」

YU：I only believe it if they say something good to me.(laugh) I think there are some destined meetings and we can change our fortune for the better by ourselves.

Tsukasa: I believe there are some destined meetings.☆ I can feel it in ZUCK！

Hayato： I think the fortune is almost decided. But I can leave it by my effort, attempt and growing myself. It depends on me and my opinion.

Taiga：I bought the book of Surgery of six point stars every year. I hope there are destined meetings.

(20)「Time for our last question. Can you give any messages to your fans? 」

YU：I love you. I'll take you to the same future with us. Let's go to see the best view together. Our love will never be broken forever.

Tsukasa： We are evolving more and more. Let's go to see the great view together.☆

Hayato: We're creating a ZUCK sensation. You must be caught up in it. These four guys are becoming a legend. There's no way to chose for you. Just grasp us and keep pace with ZUCK.
