Interview with Heavy Metal Guitarist Taiki!

(1)「At first, will you introduce yourself ? 」

「Maybe I have played it seriously for about 10 or 11 years. Now I am 17 years old. I use mainly Gibson Explore。My Amplifier isMarshal JCM８００ and effectors are a Governor and a SD1booster. That's all.」

(2)「Have you ever tried to play other music instruments？」

「No. Never.」

(3)「Why did you started playing the guitar？」

「My father is also a musician,I think it was the biggest reason. Another reason was... when I see the live stage of SharanQ, I was moved by them so much. Then I started playing the guitar seriously. At that time I was a second grader in elementary school, maybe. 」

(5)「You started playing the guitar as a little boy. Did you use score to play it？」

「No. I copy all guitar phrases by my ears. Because I can not understand score. （Laugh）」

(6)「How about TAB？」

「 No I didn't. I watched some vodeos or DVDs and listened to the music to take a copy by my ears. Still now I don't use any scores.」

(7)「So how do you produce your music? Do you put any special emphasis on it?」

「I play the guitar and produce our new song's melody. In DENO/VEALZZ, I make melodies then arange it with all members. The lyrics are written by our vocalist and our drummer. I like the melodious sound and the feeling is maybe German Metal.」

(8)「Was DENO/VEALZZ a first band for you？

「At first I started playing with the bassist of DENO/VEALZZ and my younger sister because she is a drummer. Now she is not our member. The band's name was BLASTJAIL Jr. BLASTJAIL is my father's band. We were a 3 piece band at first.」

(9)「Will you tell me more about the band？」

「We won the YAMAHA contest at ZEPP Sapporo.」

(10)「How old were you at that time？」

「I was 11 and a 6th grader of the elementary school. My sister was smaller than I.」

(11)「So you didn't have any support players？」

「No. Just 3 of us and no Vocalist. We played the song "BLASTJAIL Jr." as our original song.」

(12)「What is the meaning of the band name？」

「There is no meaning. We just want some good sounding name for the band.」

(13)「Did you have any interesting interludes on stages？ 」

「Nothing. 」

(14)「Did you have any troubles about Musical Instrument Digital Interface？」

「We don't use it. We play 100% real sound.」

(15)「What is your aim for your future？」

「I'd like to join the LOUD PARK！」

(16)「Would you like to play as a support guitarist ？」

「I'd like to if I can. I 'd like to play with many bands to study.」

「December 16, 1997.」

「B.」

(19)「What is your favorite food？ And what food don't you like?」

「I love Miso soup！ Any ingredients are fine for me！ I dislike vegetables. Well, I can not eat raw vegetables.」

(20)「How do you spend your free time？」

「Plying the guitar or sleeping while listening to music, maybe.」

(21)「What kind of presents make you happy?」

「Anything!」

(16)「If you chose a job other than being a musician, what job would you choose? 」

「A builder！ I can't do service industry！」

(22)「Can you see your fans while you're on the stage? 」

「Yes, I can！ But I am in my own world when I am playing the guitar.（laugh）」

(23)「Are there any people whom you respect or admire particularly, excluding musicians?」

「 I respect my father.」

(24)「If you can be a friend of a BIG musician, who you chose？」

「Matthias Jabs！」

(25)「 Do you believe in fortune tellers?」

「Not any.」

(26)「What is your aim for this year？」

「I want to win the YAMAHA music contest of this year. I was told the HM is against the tide. Because of his words, I want to win it.」

(27)「So, you want to go to the major music scene？」

「It is not so important for me, major or indies. Just I want to play on a big stage and want to play in front of over the ten thousand audiences. But If I need to do Jpop or so to have a big show. I doN't want to play on the stage. I want to play as a HM guitarist.」

(28)「Will you go to see any live shows？」

「Oh. Maybe in August, I will go to see the live of Onmyouza .」

(29)「What is the most difficult point for you to live as a guitarist？」

「My hair is damaged too much. It is falling out terribly nowadays.」

(30)「Have you ever thought about playing Visual kei？」

「I haven't listened to the music of Visual kei to much. I don't want to costume as a woman like. I want to live as a man. I will play as a guitarist of DENO/VEALZZ in this year. But other members will graduate the high school next year. So there is no plan for next year.」
