Interview with the fool!

Vocalist/programmer Gunji (center), guitarist/programmer Goo (right) and guitarist/programmer TACA (left) make up the Visual Kei duo the fool. Recently Kanzen ni Jrock was given an opportunity to interview vocalist Gunji. Thank you to Starwave Records for inviting us.

1. Please introduce yourself to our readers.

Hi, Readers of Kanzen ni Jrock and nice to meet you. ♪
I am Gunji of Japan. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪
I am the vocalist of the fool based in Tokyo in Japan.

2. What is the meaning behind your name the fool?

The meaning of the fool is "Genius pierrot who does a foolish expression. "
I like paradoxical expression. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪ahaha♪

3. How did the members meet each other and decide to create a band?

Goo and Taca are the existence of the family and me from old times. ♪
Because the fool is three people and guitarist. Speaking is early what also to be done.
I am a guitarist coming from originally. Will you not have known it? ahahaa(￣ε￣ゞ)♪
We three people have firm bonds. ☆
When the fool was formed, it was the best reason. yeah♪

4. What songs are each of the members favorite on your new maxi single Go motherfucker?

Ｇ(￣ε￣ゞ)→"Go motherfucker"
Ｇｏｏ(￣ε￣ゞ)→"Another sky"
ＴＡＣＡ(￣ε￣ゞ)→"Getting United"

5. How would you describe your visual style and sound?

Externals do the make-up putting on suitable clothes for the expression of the sound. ♪
As for the sound of the fool, the mixture produces a pop rock and techno, loud, and the electro. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪

6. Do you plan to experiment with other types of sounds on future releases? If so which kind?

I want to make the sound that can be pleased with my impulse and fan now. ♪
I am producing the sound of the fool only in the possessing idea. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪

7. What is the process you go by to create new music?

the process (￣ε￣ゞ)？？Uuuu(￣ε￣ゞ)？
The melody by which oneself can be impressed is put,  it is judged looking for the sound that oneself can enjoy, and it is judged whether the fan comes to like it. ♪
The guitar is played, the bass is played, and the rhythm is made, and the image in the head is made to the embodiment with DTM, and completed my completion of the sound of the fool. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪

8. Where do you look to for inspiration when creating new music?

It is time when it was touched of my mind as it touches the art and impression. ♪
It is very rare. ahahaha(￣ε￣ゞ)♪

9. Out of all of your songs which one would you like someone who just discovered the fool to listen to first?

the fool ２nd Maxi single "Go motherfucker".

10. What types of music do you enjoy listening to besides your own?

I usually hear rock, loud, pops, techno and electro, yeah. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪

11. What is your favorite part about being in a band?

In the music of the fool, all parts are important, and I cannot decide it.
If it dares to say, I like shout, ahahaha. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪

12. What are your hobbies when you are not performing or working in the studio?

My hobby plays with a pet rabbit, practices dancing, and practices the lap. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪yo-yo-♪

13. What do you enjoy most about performing live?

My enjoyment is to blow water aiming at a full seat. ahaha Just kidding. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪

14. Besides Japan what other countries do you wish to perform live in?

I hope that I will do live in the United States, Europe, Asia, North America, and South America.  (￣ε￣ゞ)♪
The fool goes to do live if in any country, there is a hot audience. ♪
The country is and there is even no war. ahahhaa (￣ε￣ゞ)♪

15. What goals do you hope to achieve in 2010?

It is a very good question.♪ 

This year's target of the fool is to release the album anyway, to do tour again at the end of the year, and to do a big, one-man concert at the end of the year. ♪
It wants to grow up greatly Music, and technically, and it thinks benefiting about the fan and oneself mental I.     (￣ε￣ゞ)yeah♪

16. What can fans expect from the fool in the future?

I want to show the fan the fool active in the world. ♪
the fool wishes becoming the boast for the fan being acknowledged also in the country and the world in case of the band that makes good music. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪

17. Please give a message to your fans.

Sure (￣ε￣ゞ)♪ Hey, hey I love all of my fans.
I want you to increase a more fan of the fool all over the world.
I promise that it is always in your shine. (￣ε￣ゞ)♪
