Music Review: el-Ethnic Legist- "Indra"

el-Ethnic Legist- is a band with a very interesting concept regarding Egypt which mirrors perfectly in their songs, a mixture of respective elements and rock sound.

Surrounded by two instrumental pieces of music the remaining six songs of インドラ (Indra) leave nothing to be desired.

That specific Egyptian sound meanders through each of the songs sometimes obviously, sometimes just in the background drowned out by hard rock elements or soft vocals.

...

Nothing's being missed out, loudly, powerfully played drums, fast guitar riffs, melodical bass lines, beautiful melodies and a lot of different elements that seem to be typically for el -Ethnic Legist-.

Fast paced songs like ドゥルガー (Durga), ホルス (Horus) or アビ (Abi) alternate
with emotionally loaded pieces like スイボク (Suiboku) or キミトテ (Kimitote).

The vocals change between some growling without reaching a level of screaming and awesome melodies, mostly unisonous, but also supported by a second voice (スイボク (Suiboku)).

There's just one point I would criticize, the drum's bass sounds have been recorded to flat in my opinion. It makes everything sound a bit painful when listening to the songs on higher volume. But either this is done on purpose or leaves some space for improvement.

Even though this album is the band's first release it's an impressing piece of work ending in some very interesting way, アイラーヴァタ (Airāvata) reminds me of a movie's end roll's music.

Note:
My favorite song is スイボク (Suiboku) just because of the melody and the way that song is sung.
